Born and raised in a nomadic region of Somalia, I immigrated to the United States in my teens. It was then that I discovered my passion for writing. I am currently seeking representation for my first novel, a young adult coming-of-age story set in the early 2000s.
I am also working on several projects, including a short story collection, a novel, and a picture book.
I reside in the beautiful state of Washington with my family, but Minneapolis, Minnesota, is my hometown in the States.
